Alcoholism/addiction

Unless you are an addict or alcoholic, most people do not understand how it plays out on our lives. I must say that I am no professional expert but I have first hand experience. I have had people just say “why don’t you just stop drinking?”. Well if it were that easy, trust me I would have a long time ago. Being around drinking my whole life was a problem because it was normalized. Everyone drank, hell you could/can get it anywhere you turn around. On TV they make it look like just a great time. For the “normal – non-alcoholic” it can be a great time, but for the alcoholic it turns into way more than just a drink or fun, we take to another level. It isn’t that we don’t want to have a few beers and hang out. As a matter of fact I bet many of us if not all have always started by saying “just one or two won’t hurt, after that I will just stop”, well our minds are not wired for that before you know it we wake up with no clue how we got where we were at. Our minds are wired to always search for more. Always remember it is okay to admit you have a problem and ask for help. It was the best thing I ever did. If anyone needs someone to talk to about it, I am always available, just shoot me an email.
